Breaking Bad
After reading the article "Point Of View: How So Many Root For 'Braking Bad's' Walter White" I've learned that through certain camera shots they're able to show what a person is thinking and add drama to the scene. The creators wanted the audience to be on board with Walt, so what they did was gave them a pile of sympathetic reasons to be on his side. Which really works in this case. They also used this technique where they have a close up of the actors face and the object they're staring atto show emotion. The video from season one was a nice touch to show the technique in action. The article was a very good description of not just the show but the ways they've made this happen. What're some other camera techniques?
