Disneys trademarking a holiday? really....

After reading an article about disney trying to trade mark the "holiday" or "phrase" of "Did de los Muertos" I've learned that they could actually do that but only if it had some sort of Pixar only theme. I've also learned that Pixar was planning on making a day of the dead movie. Lastly I've learned that they have withdrawn from this idea. The article was very informative because i had no idea this was going on and I'm glad it didn't happen. Lastly I liked that they had a segment a with a copyrights expert near the end. Is disney going to far with their power?

this week

This week was rather tiring i learned how to make mistakes when making a documentary. I feel like that will come in handy in the future. In the future id like to learn how to keep audience interested when making a film of my own. i liked that we had our final project critique i disliked having to work on my rotoscoping :( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ByGq-EdQ2L0 enjoy this link about a paper drawn stop motion!

Disneys Blatant Sexism?

After reading an article about Disney's "Transformation"on the disney princess Merida I've learned that Merida was created as a basis of the creators 13 year old daughter, I've also learned that a lot of people are protesting the new transformation, i myself are one of them. I have also learned that disney is over stepping their boundaries on things. I like that the article was very informative on the actions disney has been taking, I also like the fact that they have the before and after picture if the princess. Why is disney doing this? do they have TOO much power?

6 mistakes

After reading an article about the 6 simple mistakes a director can make when making a documentary I've learned that even though your telling a documentary about a subject it must still follow a story. Another thing I've learned is that you need a great soundtrack the the audience doesn't become bored, confused, or displeased with your film, and lastly I've learned that documentary script writing must left last because you never know what you'll encounter during your shooting.I really enjoyed how informative this article was i also like that it was to the point and there were no long drawn out monologues. Are their any other mistakes that can be made? and if so what are they?

I've learned that you can actually shoot movies on an ipad2, i have also learned that the ipad2 is 720P, one thing that i learned that surprised me was he shot the whole movie by hand. i like that the article had a trailer in the middle of it and the pictures gave me a good visual representation of how the shooting went.
